The Biggest Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we start to significantly doubt ourselves, our complete world begins falling apart. That's a pretty powerful statement, but if we actually dive into the after effects of what happens when doubt crawls into our lives, it really does come true. We can even take it a step farther with regard to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it really does ruin everything or seems to put a total and complete stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

You see, dreams demand everything from you. They demand your full attention, work ethic, eagerness, integrity, and eagerness to sacrifice a good deal to reach them. But when you start doubting your dream and what you are doing in life, you aren't giving it your all.

When you come across someone talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to really happen despite huge amounts of uncertainty surrounding the entire thing. There's a built-in sense of belief that roots itself so very deeply in that person that they can't possibly be beaten. That's true and real faith.

But when you listen to someone who is talking about their passions, and you get the sense that they're slightly on edge about it all, you can be pretty sure that they'll never achieve what they set out to do. It's not you are rooting against them, but it's that you know dreams take everything and giving it less than that, well, it just won't work out in any way. So pour yourself into what you adore and let doubt disappear from your mind. Others may say it's not practical but the impossible has been achieved many many times all through history.

Give it a shot. Anything could happen.
