In The End, How Bad Do You Want It?

By Evan Sanders

It seems as the days go by I find myself finding more and more techniques to improve at the things I have dreamed and envisioned.

There are times during the day where I hear the following speech "How Bad Do You Want It?" by Eric Thomas in my headphones and it brings a new energy into me. I think that the media we hear and digest has a larger effect on us than we all know. You have to be careful about what you bring into your life - because negativism can control your intelligence and take you places you don't want to go. I had to stop listening to some artists because of the things they sang about. Those things are not meant to be in my life - they're everything I really am working against - and yet hearing them constantly can persuade you of trying something your really don't want to.

How much do you want it kid? Oh, I want it pretty bad.

For a considerable time I really couldn't put the rubber to the road. My passion for my dreams was swept over by my fear of them failing. It's like a little child playing with a new scary toy. They are so curious but they can not quite yet grab it because it's so unfamiliar to them. This journey I have taken has yielded me many of these defining moments and brought fear head on into my life. I have truly become afraid of more things in my life, and yet at the same time I've found some way to turn that fear into true possibility and bring light to the situation.

In reality, we will always be scared of things. The difference though between those that continue to progress and people who are managed by fear lies in their power to stay in wonder about the world and its unique ideas. This, in truth, has been one of my greatest learning lessons across the past 5 years of my life - and I know that it is going to carry me forward into the future with open eyes and ears.

When you can see another life-style, a rather more positive way, a more happy way...don't ignore that. Understand what it is about that way of living that intrigues you and if you are ready, give it a shot. Literally the most terrible thing that would occur is that you're going to go back to your old way of living. Ask yourself how much you are ready to sacrifice and then move with vigor towards it. On the way you will find that this vision will demand more and more from you, and if you have it in you, you'll be willing to give up more and more for it.

How bad do you need it? What can you give up for it? Because you deserve to have it - now go out and make it.
