An Explanation Of How Your Subconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior

By Virginia Hamilton

Most of people's actions happen all of a sudden, and without the person being able to understand its source. That shows you just how much you are not always in control of the decision or actions you take. Surprisingly, the deeds remain under limited control. There are actions that you may take after thinking about it first. Those are often done using conscious thought. However, such are few compared to the decisions we make without thinking first. This shows you just how much the unconscious awareness is more in control of everyday decisions and actions. Here is an explanation of how your subconscious mind rules your behavior.

The unconscious thought works differently from the conscious thought, with the former being more powerful than the latter. Though not often easy to access and control, if you can access and control unconscious awareness, you will be capable of doing lots of extraordinary things with the thoughts. The unconscious mind possesses way much more information than the conscious awareness.

The unconscious awareness is largely responsible for the way we behave, and even if there is no conviction available, it would still influence human actions. A person's actions are consequences of their emotions, and since the unconscious awareness is responsible for controlling emotions, it would be empirical to conclude that the unconscious thought is the major influencer of the individual's behavior.

An individual can help in controlling his/her thoughts. There is a theory that separates the awareness into three parts which include the id, the ego as well as the superego. The theory further states that the unconscious thought contains most of the emotions, impulses, and beliefs. The ego, on the other hand, loves to control people. You can stop it from controlling you by integrating it with other identities of thoughts.

The unconscious thought is like a huge memory bank. This is why it is the most important part of awareness. You can store a vast amount of information in the unconscious awareness that the conscious thought cannot. It stores everything that has ever happened to you in life right from childhood to the current moment.

The unconscious awareness preserves balance. It ensures that you breathe regularly and maintains the heart rate to its required number of beats. Similarly, the unconscious mind controls the body temperature and keeps it at the required level every time. It harmonizes the thoughts and actions with the things that you might have done or said in the past.

It is subjective in nature in that it never thinks or reason independently. Likewise, the unconscious attention merely obeys the commands it gets from conscious awareness. You can always feel the unconscious awareness pulling you towards the comfort zone whenever you try something new or when you are in an unfamiliar setting.

Understanding the unconscious thoughts can help improve your relationship with other people. It will help you staying control of any fears that may be present in the subconscious that may have been put there by past painful or unpleasant occurrences. You will be able to judge people more accurately and be more realistic in your reactions in certain situations.
