Rebuilding The New World After A Global Catastrophe

By Anna West

While it may not seem like it, mankind's existence on this Earth is a fragile thing and can be disrupted by any number of natural catastrophes. There have been many of such disasters in history that show humans' resistance to these struggles and their ability to rebuild society in ways that were better than ever before. Rebuilding the new world is something that more and more people are starting to think about in these difficult and uncertain times.

Science and history are some of the most important things that mankind can preserve in the face of a global disaster. Without the knowledge of the past, progress would be greatly slowed after a disaster. It would also be hard to know what caused the disaster in the first place.

When a major catastrophe strikes that threatens the lives of a vast number of people, one of the first things to go are the laws and governments that once kept societies stable. The loss of this stability can lead to widespread deaths and general chaos, and it is important for order to be restored as quickly as possible. It is sometimes the case that in the reforming of governments, more just laws can be established.

It is possible for people to survive on their own when terrible disasters have struck. However, they increase their chances of making it by finding a group to be a part of. Having a group means having protections and someone to provide when that person is sick or weak.

When society is formed again, it is very important that it is mindful of its environmental impact. Many of the disasters that threaten mankind are due to climate change. Building a society around a harmonious balance with nature could save the world from future disasters.

It is hard to think about re-establishing all of the elements of society in the early period after a terrible disaster has occurred. This is a time when most people will only be thinking about their own preservation and will be doing everything they can to find clean water, food, and keeping themselves and their families safe. Once enough time has passed, however, people will want to come out again and return societal ways.

One of the best things anyone can do for themselves when trying to survive in difficult conditions after a major disaster is to have good hygiene practices. Hand washing is an easy way to prevent huge numbers of diseases from entering the body. This can greatly improve a person's chances of survival.

One of the highly important things to take into account in these types of situations is where the bathroom will be. This is something that should be decided as soon as the water source is established. This is because if the outhouse is less than 20 meters away from the well or other type of water source, the water could easily become infected and threaten the healths of anyone who drinks it.
