Where Is Prophecy Today?

By India Perlmonth

Catholicism and its many branches all refer to God and Christ in their faith and beliefs. They base each and every part of their life to the heavens. While it's different from one another, the religions still focus on God and Christ in their own little ways. Somewhere in these branches arose a movement. This is a movement in which people have decided to take matters into their own hands and take the neglected matters of the Bible and made it into something. This is the prophetic movement.

What is the prophetic movement? It is a movement in which the people take parts of what they feel is neglected in the Bible and make it their own doctrine. This is used mostly by Charismatic Christianity. This is a Christian doctrine where its believers still think that spiritual things and miracles existed as it is stated in one part of the Bible. Since Christianity is involved, Jesus Christ is used. Why? Because just like the regular Christians, the prophetic movement also focuses on Jesus Christ and everything that Christians have believed.

Also, Jesus heals the sick to show his disciples his principles to them. He is showing them what they should all do as they go on their journeys spreading the word of his Father. He also heals the sick to show people God loves them too. He wouldn't just do it for his own love; God has feelings for the world as well. Another reason Jesus heals the sick is to honor God. He was bestowed with the abilities of a Lord so he's showing his father that he's using his gift for the greater good of humanity.

He is also healing the sick to fight the Devil. The Devil, who's only goal is to wreck humanity, tries his best to sicken the people to gain his needs but Jesus counters that with his ability. This lets people see that he is not afraid of the Devil and he professes that people should not believe in the Devil for the Devil only wants things for his personal gain.

The prophetic movement is also too radical about their visions and prophecies leaving some people confused whether it is really God's messages they're giving to them. The movement is forgetting who they are helping with. This is getting to the point that the movement is slowly pulling away from the purpose. The prophetic movement tries to support its claims by putting Jesus on top. Even using Jesus' name for a deceptive cause is not going to make it legitimate. It's a violation against God to use his name and his son's name for the purpose of gaining a status. So if you happen to see a prophetic movement with them flashing Jesus' name, steer clear of them. They're just using Jesus' name deceptively. Always remember to respect God and Jesus and never believe in people who just flash their names like it's nothing.
