Saying some words or congratulations, greetings and encouragement has long been a tradition to many culture as means to express appreciation and thanksgiving. Any special gathering has its own set of special greetings. If you are someone who is attending one special event, then preparing a special message for the object of the gathering is important.

You can always say it verbally. But there are other methods that are considered to be more intimate and heartfelt by others. Writing down the message is among this. Masonic greeting cards are among those items which can be excellent pieces to contain the message that you want to say. If the person is a mason, then this most appropriate.

Good things is, you do not have to do this by yourself. There are many online shops selling various kinds of cards with all those varied designs. All you need to do is to select which among them would you like to have. Before buying anything though, take time to check the following first.

Symbol of masonry. This is the most visible and primary requirement for a masonic card. Their symbol has to be present on the card. It may be found on the front, back or the inside portion of the card. This is the ultimate identifying factor that you are giving them the card in reverence to their membership for the brotherhood.

Text. This refers to the font style and at the same time the content of the message. There is no rule as to how you would like to say what you mean. You can write whatever you mean. There are cards however that already have a custom phrase or sentence included in the piece, one that serves as the motto of the group. If its written in foreign language, ask what it means and its significance to the masons.

Size. There are different sizes that are available for you to choose. You can have the one that will fit your needs best. If you want a longer message, then you can always go for those with bigger sizes. The smaller ones are favorite picks to accompany gifts and packages.

Other symbolism. Aside from the popular symbolism of masonry, you may also want to include some other signs like charities and organizations where the person is a part of. For instance, if he is a co founder of charity and a mason at the same time, you can have both logos printed on the card.

Quality of paper. There are thick papers and there are those that are thin. Some are glossy while others have rough finish. Consider the writings that you will do when you select the paper. There are those which do not really dwell good with an ordinary ink. For an intricately designed item, having a thicker paper is better.

You can be as creative as you want to be with the greeting cards. If you make it yourself, you can take charge of all the details. Buying however will give you a little space to do some customization but is less hassle. Choose a design that will somehow embody the content of your message.
