Attending The Baptist Church Coward On Sunday

By Nancy Wood

A church is more than just a building. It is a place of praise and worship. It is also the global congregation of believers from the different parts of planet earth. The Baptist church Coward exists for a reason. It exists for the greater good. It exists to serve society. Most importantly, it nourishes believers spiritually and makes them to be better Christians at the end of the day. The Southern Baptist movement is considered as one of the biggest Protestant movements in the United States of America. The US is a Christian nation. That is the truth. It is the reality.

As a Baptist, attending the Sunday service is not a luxury. It is a basic need. The importance of attending the Sunday service must never be taken for granted at any moment in time. This issue needs to be given the seriousness that it deserves. Sunday is the official day of Sabbath. It is the seventh day of a week.

Sunday is not the only day of the week for attending a Christian church. Nowadays, most churches in America and also in other parts of planet earth such as Canada, and Europe, usually have weekday services. These services run from Monday to Saturday. They usually take place over the course of the lunch period or in the evening.

Attending church should not be a mere ritual. It must not be something that is done so that to be able to socialize. Actually, attending service should be serious business. That means that a person should pay full attention during the course of a service. He should actively participate in praise and worship. One should stand on his feet during worship time.

There is the need to pay close attention to the message of the day. This will be delivered by a member of the clergy. This can be a pastor, bishop, or even an archbishop. The message in question will come directly from the Holy Bible. It will be taken from a particular book, chapter, and verse. It will be read aloud.

Scripture has two major sections. They are the Old and the New Testaments. The Old Testament is about the old covenant. This Testament of Scripture starts with Genesis and ends with the book of Malachi. Genesis explains the creation of planet earth. The New Testament starts with Matthew and ends with Revelation, which deals with the end of time.

A service will start and end with a word of prayer. Actually, prayer is very important in the life of a believer. One should pray so that not to enter into temptation. There is the need to pray without ceasing because life is full of problems and temptations. One should wait until the closing prayer so that to go home.

Christianity is one of the oldest religions on earth. It is as old as time. Christianity can be traced back to the book of Genesis. Since the beginning of time, everything was laid down for the New Covenant that is represented by Christianity. There are Christians who identify as Catholics and those who identify as Protestants. Catholicism and Protestantism have a lot in common. They are all Bible based.
