Competitive advantage is an outcome of organization growth. Smart organizations implement growth strategies so as to tap into this advantage. The greatest assets of an organization contribute a lot to its growth through their performance. However, it is important to note that performance is affected by emotions. Organizational growth can be streamlined by emotional intelligence coaching that improves staff performance.

The circumstances, mood or relationships of an employee are what make their emotions. These dictate how they behave and it trickles down to their work output. When these feelings are not controlled, the reasoning and knowledge of a person is affected and so is their output quality.

Unfortunately, many have believed that only therapists can correct dysfunctions of emotions. In as much as therapists would play a role, it takes both personal and professional effort to enhance the emotional well being of a person. An individual needs to self-appraise themselves in terms of their emotions and then manage the result. Additionally, one can asset the emotions of others and coach them. You will agree that emotions play a role in the ability of an individual to complete a task as required.

Consider some of the reasons why it is wise to think about managing emotions. When emotions of an employee are under control, it is highly likely that they will concentrate on what they have to do and they will give their best. Thus, the organization will benefit from the performance. The individuals will also have self-confidence. Self-confidence helps an individual to give their top performance. It eliminates unnecessary fears. Therefore, they will also have the confidence to share their ideas even with their superiors.

If you are struggling with fear, take heart. It is normal and very common. However, among the most dangerous feelings to harbor is fear. It makes one react in a way that they would not want to explore their maximum potential. It affects the entire being of a person. Their thinking and actions are paralyzed.

This attitude of not engaging can be explained by different experiences. Sometimes it is because a worker does not want to fail again or they simply do not want to try out a job for the first time. Surprisingly, they may not even explain why they are holding back because they do not know. Such a worker cannot deliver as expected.

Therefore, it is best to always endeavor to manage emotions. It all begins with self-assessment. This will open your eyes to the emotional issues you have and then you can counter them. Once you discover your emotional hitch, get to the root of it. What causes it? If you need some coaching, get it soon so that you are emotionally stable.

In managing emotions, one leads by example. You cannot help someone manage their feelings when you are not in control of your own. The process of coaching others emotionally would also sharpen your own emotional intelligence. Simple things like commending what is good and offering support will go a long way. Now you have the secret to gaining a competitive advantage; simply manage emotions of workers.
