Christina Dimauro Kelly: Why International Fashion Matters

By Rebecca Mills

Fashion is one of the most diverse interests that anyone can get involved in. While there are many people who do so for the purpose of finding new clothes, others like Christina DiMauro Kelly do so because it is a passion of theirs. Along the way, they will become exposed to the styles of various cultures, which are eye-opening to say the least. With that said, I think that it would be important to discuss why these styles matter.

When you live in a particular area or country all your life, you recognize different customs. In the United States, for instance, denim jeans are relatively common amongst anyone who enjoys casual wear. Even though this is just one example, it goes to show just how much we know about fashion related to our culture. It's when discussion veers off into other cultures that intrigue can build and the knowledge of names like Christina DiMauro Kelly may be applied.

I believe that the learning experience associated with international fashion is an idea that cannot be ignored. No matter how old we become, there's always a chance to learn something new, especially when it comes to the field of fashion that Christina Kelly and others have become so invested in. Even though these new concepts may seem confusing, at the onset, it's with time that their levels of appeal will become all the more prominent.

In fact, wouldn't it make sense for bigger publications to focus more on international fashion than they do already? Vogue is, without question, one of the most popular publications amongst those who work in fashion, in addition to those who are simply enthusiasts. They hold a lot of power, which goes without saying, as the work they put forth will be picked up time and time again. To say that they can bring the fashion of different cultures to another level should go without saying.

As Christina DiMauro Kelly and other authorities can state, fashion is something that's meant to be shared across numerous cultures. Even though we may have different beliefs and perspectives, this doesn't mean that we can't appreciate elements which are foreign to us. When we find something that draws us in - it could be something as simple as a bracelet or intricate like a gown - we can't help but try to integrate it into our wardrobes. When styles are shared, they are rendered that much more meaningful.
